Friday night it started to snow.
Through the night, and through the day on Saturday, and still through the night:

There was no getting out of the house to do last minute shopping.
Just sweet relaxation, stuck inside, enjoying twinkling lights and little friends.
Sunday morning (this morning) church was cancelled, and it was time to dig out!
How wonderful: our neighbors are so nice. Someone lent us a shovel, and everyone outside was eager and willing to help everyone else clear out driveways. Our teen neighbor boy had cleared off our front step before we even got outside. :) Gave me warm fuzzies!

Oh wow! I haven't seen that much snow for years.. Fun but scary too. Just think of all the people that don't keep enough food in the house for at least of couple of days!
last time it snowed that much over there...it was 1996 I believe! We had 4 ft of snow back then when I lived there.Crazy!
It is such a blessing you have such nice neighbors and that they were all helping each other with the sidewalks. I'm embaressed to say this, but in Vancouver area, they had to put out a new law that you shovel your sidewalk before 10am the next day b/c no one was doing it last year when we got dumped on. So count your blessings that people don't have to have morality legislated there and that they are just kind enough to help others in need. Enjoy the snow for christmas!
